@rokkittothemoon: what's a tool that's has helped you in your vision loss journey? VI description: Rachel sits in front of the camera talking #disabled #blindtok #glaucoma #aniridia #nystagmus
I’m so grateful for voiceover. I use it on my phone and it has been a game changer for me with the Apple TV. I wasn’t able to watch TV for a while because we didn’t have cable and trying to figure out streaming without some sort of audio telling me what I was looking at was impossible. I also love my Meta glasses, giving me the ability to do things hands-free. Technology is awesome!

Would definitely recommend getting the Meta Ray band smart classes. These are amazing for the Blind community to learn more about the glasses and what they can do. Check out my full YouTube video link to YouTube is on my profile.

Try the magnifier app. I think it’s similar to seeingAI, but it’s just a quick way to zoom in and see things or read things. Also, if you’re not connected with your state vocational rehab programs, I’d recommend it! They can help you learn how to navigate so many aspects of life!

hi Rachel I'm legally blind myself a partial blindness I also have low vision I have quite a few favorite apps I like to use I've used Google lookout I've never used seeing AI but everybody says it's pretty good I also like to use be my eyes which connects you with a live volunteer or sometimes even specialize help. and I use some magnifier apps to enlarge small print I guess I would have to try seeing AI seeing if it's better than Google lookout for a while it was only on iOS but I think now it's on Android as well.

I love my meta Ray-Bans smart glasses. they are the best but I would have to say that I have multiple things. I have a handheld color detector device that I love as well as many apps on my phone. Google lookout and talk back screen reader and of course to Google pixel because that helps me take still photos being completely blind. that is amazing 🤩 ch ill and last but not least my white cane the number one thing I definitely do not leave the house without. I just wished I have learned to use it when I was still low vision. instead I had to learn after I went completely blind. just a little stubborn that was all LOL 😂

Hey, 👋 I would definitely recommend the that app you have. It’s free and has everything you need at your finger tips. I’m legally blind and became that way in 2016 with retinitis Pigmentosa. Iv also got a guide dog. If you have any questions sweetie, just ask, it’s difficult sometimes, but it can be less difficult with other blind individuals helping us alone the way. 🫶🏻

Love my Rayban Meta glasses. I got the ones that change from clear to sunglasses because I never want to take them off. It's been my biggest help. I also love that it's not an ear pod so I feel like my hearing isn't compromised.

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are amazing. They have truly been a game changer. I have done presentations on Zoom through the ACB community and they are podcast if you want to check them out. Go to ACB media.org and in the search just put in smart glasses or.Meta and you should find them. Reach out if you have any questions.
