Having a EVAP leak code; If you do a smoke test from the vent and the system is leak free. You can assume the vent valve is bad by not closing during evap test right?

What are some of the symptoms you can possibly get for a failed purge valve. I have a 04 envoy that jerks when over 20-30mph and jerks a lot more when slowing down.
