1/4” drive screws for purlins and 5/16 head for solid sheeted. #10 vs #14. All panels manufactures have this outlined in spec sheets.

Two things I have learned, string line the overhang. It helps keep you nice and straight, because measuring from the facia board can be inconsistent. Also, where applicable, stack the pieces up, and pre drill the screw holes. It keeps the screw lines nice and straight, and you only have to lay out once.
