@hipsterphoto: A motion blur trick every photographer should try. This shot was all about timing and technique. While waiting near the Chicago Theatre, I used a slow shutter speed to blur the train as it passed - while keeping my subject sharp and in focus. The contrast between motion and stillness added so much depth to the frame. It’s one of my favorite ways to create storytelling layers in a single image. Photography tip: Look for moments of movement around a still subject - then slow your shutter down and let the scene do the work. Ever tried this technique? Would you give it a go?
