“Sa pag-aaral mo ka mag focus, wag sa church.” “Sunday at Saturday na nga lang pahinga mo, ilalaan mo pa sa church na ‘yan?” “Diyan ka na naman pupunta?” “Wala ka na bang ibang ginagawa?” “Mag-aral ka na lang, church ka nang church.” “Hindi ka ba napapagod?” “Mas inuuna mo pa ‘yan kaysa sa pamilya.” “Sayang oras mo dyan.” “Para saan pa yan?” “Hindi ka naman yayaman dyan.” Maybe you’ve heard words like this too… from people close to you, even family—reminding you of responsibilities, rest, studies, and life. And yes, rest is important. Studies are important. Life responsibilities matter. But sometimes, in the middle of all these voices, we slowly start treating God like something we only fit in when we have time left. But God was never meant to be last. He is the reason we are even able to study, to move, to live. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33) Serving God is not a distraction. It is a calling. It is the greatest privilege—to know Him, to walk with Him, and to be used by Him. Because serving God is not only inside the church building… it is also how you live, how you study, how you treat people, how you handle your responsibilities. So yes—you can do both. You can study well AND serve God faithfully. You can be diligent in school AND still be passionate in ministry. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” (Colossians 3:23) But also remember this: Even in balancing everything, God should never be pushed aside. Not because church is an obligation… but because God is your source, your strength, and your direction. And when God is truly first in your life, everything else will not be destroyed—it will be aligned. “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3) So don’t feel guilty for serving God. Don’t feel ashamed for loving Him deeply. Because the world may say “focus on everything else first…” But God says: “Put Me first… and I will take care of the rest.” ✨ #JesusChrist #estherlywritess #christian #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp
