What’s the warning placard for? To warn the ground it’s going to get hit? 😂

Why did they make that drain tube like that? Why not just just make it straight

Just changed the crashable cartridge last week. I was thinking about reading further. I'm new to the job. We were thinking about reporting the incident to higher management. But we like the captain. we would want to get him in trouble. 😁 so he walks free.

If they had designed it to not be so low it wouldn't need this.

There’s gotta be a more significant reason to use a fuse pin like what system is it going to activate or deactivate?

Very interesting. I’ve always thought they were just to prevent from the scratches but they are much more useful in the shock absorption!😀Thanks Stig🙏

I'd think they'd just use a big spring instead of a cartridge...

Thanks for sharing this Stig!!! you are a breath of fresh air when it comes to Aircraft Maintenance and American Airlines is Loving how you share the job that you do. This is excellent PR (Their words not mine) to give frequent fliers peace of mind every time they walk on board a flight..

In case of tail strike, do the plane always go back asap? I mean, they wouldn’t know in cockpit how severe it was?
