Honestly, I have a feeling that’s why they gave them all costumes in the new one. Making the Thing’s hands and face is a lot easier than the whole body. Reed’s powers are easier to do when it’s all blue instead of blue and white. I think we also won’t see them use CGI as often in the new movie so they can save it for more visual-heavy moments

Yeah I don’t buy this excuse. Outside of action scenes, Reed, Sue and Johny are basically just regular people. The only one of the team that needs to always be done with effects is Ben.
