They one thousand percent do this to gaslight you bc its fun for them. I learned how to mask really well and the same ppl who used to do that stopped. once someone tried it and I responded to her the way a NT would (disgust and shock) and she APOLOGIZED and said, I'm sorry, I thought you might have been a weirdo. it's intentional. they do it to regulate themselves bc they feel insecure.
