Honestly it’s because he’s shrewd whereas a lot of leftists and leftists figures on here are wholly committed to an evangelical Puritanism which is clumsy and unwieldy. If we want to create coalitions, we need to follow his example, especially outside of electoralism. Cuz it really doesn’t work for our aims, or for getting it popular, which is necessary for the revolution ppl are calling for but we aren’t prepared for.

honestly, it’s racist and misogynistic. I’m seeing a lot of of these conversations happening and under the posts of Black people, or the posts of women. they genuinely believe that we’re dumb enough to think that one election is going to change the entirety of New York or the system. We don’t think that we are just excited that we’ll be able to afford groceries and the fact that a sexual predator is not in office. I didn’t think I was part to understand.

Further, when I talk to the non-political class outside New York, they are excited. My parents like him. My mother-in-law on Westchester was rooting for Cuomo's downfall. My friends back in my hometown in Ohio wish they had a Zohran. Don't let DNC commentators fool you. The rest of the country doesn't feel the way we are being told they feel.

Seeing people go on and on and on about rent CONTROL when that's not what he is talking about has annoyed me so much. And talking about the voters here like it's similar to a nationwide general and not NYC. I'm happy at the idea of a broader conversation about the left vs. the establishment but at this point I'm so annoyed I just want people to LEAVE US ALONE.
