what's the point of having rare items if you're going to destroy them

Unfortunately a lot of "collectors" are actually hoarders with an unhealthy attachment to anything they perceive as valuable, a lot of antique stores are just museums to hoarding because the owners barely sell anything

Old people are always like this. "If I cant have you then no one can" They hoard beautiful things and let them rot.

This makes me so sad because there already isn't enough Sally stuff and I love her. I cannot imagine turning an offer down for $50k and the chance to see it restored. I'll never understand the hoarder mentality.

That's genuinely such a waste. I get that the statues originated from a famous amusement park, but it's more worth it to let them be restored.

So why are people upset at the guy ? It’s his stuff he can do whatever he wants to it. It’s like going up to someone that has a beat up car their father gave him that’s been passed down and trying to force them to sell it.

The owner made a generational fumble i understand why you wouldn’t want to sell it but at least get someone to fix it for you or at least put it somewhere safe😭
