if branch mining, use only 2 blocks between branches - otherwise you could miss diamonds in the middle of the 3 blocks you skipped...

Personally I go down to -58 and just clear out blocks by the 100s leaving me with a 2 block tall open area underground that’s usually around 200 by 200 by the time I’m done
