The Blue Lagoon’s water is rich in silica, which can coat hair strands, making them stiff, dry, and tangled. It’s especially harsh on untreated or naturally porous hair. Use conditioner beforehand.

u should also make sure to have ur hair soak up a LOT of clean water and then condition so that ur hair wont soak up a lot of the bad water!

Yall, you have to put conditioner in your hair before goung in the water. This makes it okay for your hair to touch the water. Obviously they still don't recommend it but it helps🙏

Honestly I didn't leave conditioner in or or anything, fully went under, and didn't notice any difference after. Peoples reactions to the Blue Lagoon seem very individualized.
