I use rice flour instead of corn starch. I believe this is a Polish thing. Makes the shortest shortbread, everytime.

the best shortbread ive ever tasted was from a 93 year old scottish lady, and yep she wouldnt give me recipe lol,hers was slightly darker.amazing

I use to make a gooseberry shortbread half the mix in the bottom of tin press down add cooked or tin gooseberry in spread out put the remaining shortbread mix on top and press down when it comes out of oven slice enjoy 😋

I’ve made your recipe a few times now and has turned out perfect every time! The first time I added the zest of a lemon - gorgeous! The second time I "found" a packet of Cadbury’s mini eggs in the back of the wardrobe, bashed them up and added them to your recipe, again turned out lovely! It’s a brilliant recipe, the only one I use now! I didn’t even like shortbread till I tried yours!!
