Everyone this is microbial growth!! You need to call a professional!!! Who knows what they are doing and dealing with. Microbial growth can be toxic and harmful to people. Not just to the workers but the people living in that home daily. The person opening that up should be following the IICRC S520 Standards, have proper PPE, containment, negative air in place, and Hepa vacuuming, and bagging. So sad to see this….

If she has homeowners insurance I’d tell her to file a claim and reach out to a mitigation company and a plumber. More steps to this than just removing drywall and a temp fix on the pipe. Good work otherwise.

Now listen, I’m not expert, but the ceiling is raining and there’s black mold. That would normally lead one to believe there is, in fact, moisture in the ceiling. 😭😩
