How can dentists in foreign country’s can do it cheaper. They still need Equipment, tuition etc. I’ve just booked 7 nights in Dubai at a 5 star hotel to get 20 non prep veneers for less than can get it done here

I’m having to go abroad because a jaw surgeon messed my jaw up in London , and no one in the UK can fix it with counterclockwise rotation . Left for this extremely steep occlusal plane. Have consulted all over the world all agree UK surgeons are archaic. Hopefully, general dentistry is not the same.

You cannot factor in dentistry school. I also went to uni and paid 10k a year for 4 years, whilst also having to fund my daily existence (as we all did at university, irrespective of our degree) and I’m now paying over £200 a month back to student finance from my salary. I don’t expect my employer to give me an additional 40k a year because of my university fees. There are jobs being worked by university graduates who are on 20k a year… surely we should all be compensated for our years at uni then? Why only dentists?

Maybe the government should make all dentists have a minimum of 25 - 30 % NHS patients to be able to practise, no 100% private

Even taking account of the costs, they do charge a lot. Just look for efficient working practices. Use AI, more efficient equipment etc

reality is, you can get cheaper care abroad at a high standard. theres a cost of living crisis. if your business is doing well, then what do you care if people think youre greedy. they cant afford the treatment here, no matter how you try and justify it.

In terms of NHS, it's actually not bad price wise. It's the private industry that's unaffordable. especially when you can't get an NHS dentist 😭

I love it when patients say stuff like “that’ll go towards your Ferrari” - never have I ever worked with a dentist that drives a Ferrari 😅 those lab bills/clawback are killer!

Really we should be complaining to our government instead. They have billions to fund foreign wars but not healthcare. It's extremely depressing to think about. As long as I'm not being forced to get cosmetic work done everytime, I'm ok with it and my dentist is lovely 😂

Operating a dental practice in U. K. these days it is quite essential to employ a Compliance company to make sure you are not breaking any regulations which change all the time and. H.R. company to deal with all the employment matters which also change all the time. In Turkey, there is NO regulation!
