@emileesegura: here’s how I’m helping my baby learn to say uh oh! These are strategies I’m teaching and practicing with my early intervention families! 1. Expectant look - I’m giving a look to my baby that I’m expecting him to say something and if I wait long enough he says something! 2. Repetition! - We played this game over and over after our walk. I gave him many opportunities to practice saying uh oh. 3. Wait Time - I give him plenty of time to process and vocalize. I try to wait at least 5-10 seconds before I say something again. 4. Make it fun! - Kids learn best through play so I worked on him saying uh oh during this game of throwing. He is in the phase of learning cause and effect and loves to drop his toys.
