I first started making homemade Rosemary Oil several years ago when I had an abundance of rosemary growing in my garden and experiencing extreme hair fall/ thinning. Many of my followers suggested that I add other powerful ingredients like cloves, fenugreek (methi), and nigella seeds (black seeds or kalonji) to make the oil more potent. So, here’s my new, improved recipe for Rosemary Oil. I hope you’ll make it too, as it’s 100% natural and very effective. With consistent use, results will speak for themselves. INGREDIENTS: 1 cup coconut oil 1 cup rosemary 1 tbsp cloves 1 tbsp fenugreek seeds (methi) 1 tbsp nigella seeds (kalonji) 15 drops Vitamin E oil Step 1. Create a double boiler by filing a small pot 1/4th way with water and heating it on the stove until water starts simmering. Step 2. Place a bowl over the pot of simmering water and add coconut oil, rosemary, cloves, fenugreek and nigella seeds. This provides a gentle heat to warm the oil and infuses the herbs without burning/ frying them. Step 3: Stir occasionally for 30-40 minutes. You will notice oil change color from clear to green. Quick note: be sure that the water in your double boiler does not evaporate (refill if needed). Step 4: Switch off the heat and strain the oil by using a sieve. Add 15 drops of vitamin E oil in the end to help preserve it longer. Your Rosemary Hair Oil is now ready to use! 🙌 HOW TO USE: Apply once or twice a week by massaging it into your scalp. Leave on for at least 1 hour, before washing it off with your normal shampoo. For a deep conditioning treatment, leave it on over-night (I place a towel on my pillow before I sleep to prevent oil stains). TO STORE: If using fresh rosemary like I did, this oil will store well in the fridge for up to 1 month. If using dried rosemary, then you can store it in a cool, dark place for up to a year (no refrigeration required). Let me know if you give this a try & don’t forget to grow lots of rosemary in your garden to make this wonderful oil. ✨ #rosemary #herb #hairoil #hairgrowth #hairfalltreatment #DIY
