As an anthropologist, I find it fascinating speaking to Americans about what they think of the world because the sources are you mentioned are so deeply ingrained in our society that they truly trust them. It’s also thrilling to me when I get American students abroad and it opens up their worldview taking students into China is legit culture so for them and many of them actually have like massive anxiety and stuff

i read Suzy Kim's book on North Korea (and loved it!!) and noticed then that anytime I searched anything north Korea related 38 north and nautilus would always show up 🫠 it's so hard to dig through the bs to get to trustworthy resources

It's learn about WWII from German and soviet soldiers' memoirs. And then suddenly you realize all the bad things we know about the soviets apply to the Germans. During the Cold War, they spun the narrative completely. And the Germans gave a lot of credit to soviets about how good they fought

I just finished reading through your propaganda source list and am so disappointed that I didnt look far back enough into the chain of funding for some of these organisations 🤦♀️Do you have any ‘go to’ websites or organisations for general international political discussions that aren’t associated with/cite anything from the right? If not where do you typically start when you’re looking into these kinds of topics? xx
