I fear this is the environment of my job. I am a nanny. I have been for almost 3 years. For the same family. I nanny triplets and their big sister. When I started I was over joyed and I knew this job was from God. And mom and dad were amazing Christians who loved their children and put their family above all else. And now the triplets are 3 and the oldest is 10 and there's a lack of Christ within the home. Dad has consistently put me down for being white. And legally single and for being childless. And then tries to cover it up with "we do appreciate you though" but being told I'm not worthy enough for the love of Jesus because I'm a white redhead... or because I'm not Mexican. Or saying that I don't understand their situation because I don't have children... it's hard. And I'm starting to feel that maybe God is ready for me to move on. I pray everyday with the kids, we listen to worship, I pray over my day and the kids days and the parents days. I pray over the house. And right now I feel attacked or a little lost. I can feel the enemy trying to work his way in and I feel like with dad's bad attitude, I can't get away from it. For example, he wants his kids potty trained but won't do anything while he's home to help. Mom is having a hard time keeping up. Abuela isn't helping. And they expect me and the 10 year old to potty train the triplets. I don't feel it's the 10 year olds responsibility. I also don't feel like I should be the only one working with the kids. I have been very lenient when it comes to pay because I understand that the economy isn't great and prices are high. But it's getting to a point where what I'm doing is costing me time with my family and with God. It's costing me Joy. And I'm not saying the dad is at fault but he plays a large role in my lack of Joy for my job. I love my job. Absolutely love it and I am so greatful for the opportunity but it's gotten to a point where I cannot afford a home or rent or really anything. And they are drifting from God and it's very visible in the way they speak to me, to the kids, to each other. I know they have had a rough few months but to bring me down for simply being white and saying that I'm less

Wasn’t thinking of that but I know of a couple very popular pastors this could apply to that I really like.. I guess I don’t hear a lot of hope and joy from most of those sermons. Find a balance, noted ✅
