Man when I was an apprentice health care worker, my mentor had a beef with another one who in hindsight was the most inept person I’ve seen in the field so far, plus she was foreign and almost retired. Her language skills were… bad, so when the elderly couldn’t understand her, which was often, rather than speaking simpler or more clearly, she just raised her voice and repeated the same nonsense. She had arguments in the hallways with next-of-kin, abandoned her patients frequently to deal with her daughter calling her about this or that. Once she had to leave work, in tears, because her.. the wife of her sons cousin had a miscarriage in the 2nd trimester I think it was? Meanwhile the rest of us can’t get a day off for a funeral unless it’s direct relation up or down (child or parent). Grandparents, cousins, niece/nephew does not count…
