the irony of it is the people with this initiative are the people actually killing games. as for the detes themselves, ps was right in the clips I saw. gamers are just detached from reality and entitled. they want the world to cater to them. if gamers had their way there would be no games. not just this but as I referenced before, these are the people who review bomb games when their hardware can't handle it and don't give time for optimization before killing them or if there's a single "woke" line. the buying isn't owning pirating isn't stealing crowd. which is another example of how this community is. they took something that strictly applied to ps and used it as an excuse to be cheap and unsupportive elsewhere in gaming. sorry but for the sake of gaming which we've been fighting for for too long against "gamers" I'm against this. on the "greedy" Corp side because I love games and PLAYING them. the idea behind the initiative is a dream come true. the actual initiative is a massive hit to our hobby 👍

Unpopular opinion, but this will absolutely kill small game developers who don't have the resources to do this and will hurt indie games more than anything. Big AAA studios will just add another $20 on top of the game price and the game community will eat it up like they always do. Or they'll find a loophole around it by changing it so you're not buying the game, but you're buying a one-time license fee to access their services. If you know anything about the EU, you know this will likely kill small businesses and do nothing against the corporate ones.

Why should companies be forced to spend money on THIER games. Why should games have to support live service games forever, bankrupting game developers isn’t going to save gaming.
