Don’t get the iud too soon after having a baby. My IUD got lost and my new ob said it was because I got it too soon post partum. Other than that I really loved my IUD.

I had the copper IUD and hated it. I had to get it out early! My periods were HEAVY and a week long. I would go through a super in an hour! My cramps were miserable as well and it’d get sharp pains all the time even just bending down! I have had the Mirena IUD for 5 years now and love it! No symptoms and no period!!

Take Tylenol 30 minutes before going in to get it, I cramped for the first day then after couldn’t feel it. I had the kyleena and liked it, just be prepared for it to take up to 6 months to stop spotting/ before your cycle will regulate

I had the iud. It was great but I had really bad periods before. I did gain a little weight but I worked out and lost it. Everyone is different though.

I had the mirena when it first came out and it perforated my uterus and was floating in my abdomen. I had to get it surgically removed…. Everyone’s bodies are different though.

You might not be able to get it if you missed your BC recently. I think it has to be 2 weeks protected before getting it. I’ve had the mirena for yearsssss, i love it

It hurts when they put it in like u will feel a really bad cramp for a few and then ur fine I have the Kyleena one it’s a great first one and it’s small!!!
