Fun fact, Chester is where the term “high street” originated, as traditionally all the shops were on the second level or the rows, making a high/elevated street.

Oh you hit gold finding Chester! It was a Roman fortress in the 1st century AD and has amazing city walls (It was actually granted city status nearly 500 years ago 😁)

well for starters at least one if those museums is probably mine, and there's a decent chance I was that Roman soldier. Chester was originally a Roman Fortress called Deva Victrix, and we get a lot of tourists who are interested in that part of our history, we also get lots of schools visiting our place to learn about Romans in Britain.

Come to Shrewsbury, its not far from Chester. Medieval Market town or check out, Bath, York. Most towns have old churches and buildings but those towns are next level
