@chrissycrna: Replying to @Izukublackdoriya expected changes to the CRNA + anesthesiologist job market if budget bill passes in its current form: I forgot to mention as reimbursement goes down and the anesthesiologist shortage grows, will also likely see more collaborative anesthesia teams (CATs) instead of ACTs, billing supervision instead of direction, in many centers, and further expansion of opt out.
This really makes me feel great about starting school in august 💀💀 finally get a step up and get pushed right back down

They also capped student loans at $150,000.00 now only the rich kids can become doctors.

I believe they are going to figure out a way for PAs to practice anesthesia like a PAA or something, it’s not enough CRNA or AA schools

A lot af potential Med School / CRNA students will be discouraged from pursuing that career, due to the new student loan / repayment option environment.

i understand the CAAs are controversial in the anesthesia world, but do you think that with the increased demand in anesthetists that more hospitals and more states will open up to allowing CAAs practice? what would that look like

Could surgeries go down due to the decrease in people being covered under insurance?

I don’t understand - limit education and upward mobility while simultaneously taking resources away from the poor.

ED doctors will get the biggest hit. Urgent cares will see an increase in patients & FM will see a significant decrease

Makes me question: if salaries plateau, cost of living increases, cost of schooling/tuition increases and the potential increase in rates on private student loans, won’t we see a further increase in the provider deficit as more student wait to go back to school?

I get the concern for Medicare pts but what about the middle class Americans who don’t qualify for insurance and also have to figure it out? This is not a Medicare or insurance issue, the question is WHY is healthcare so expensive and unaffordable?? That’s the real issue.
