@professor.steph: Replying to @Caitieboo you are in a place that literally thousands of an anxiously attached folks ask themselves on a daily basis — should I stay or go? It’s a valid question and you need to be asking another one in order to find its answer — how do I feel and what do I need? That’s the core of the work we do inside The Attachment Academy— helping burnt out pursuers come home to themselves so they can make decisions from clarity, not survival. ❤️🩹 #burntoutpursuer #anxiousattachmentstyle #attachmentstyle #anxiousattachment #marriage #divorce #breakup #relationships #Relationship #relationshipadvice #dating #datingtips #datingadvice #SelfImprovement #healing #therapytok #therapistsontiktok #selflove #HealingJourney #fyp
How about being so emotionally exhausted that you just don't want to work on trusting them again. Not necessarily mad just accepting that is how they are and who they are and no longer interested im connection. Is that essentially divorce?

I'm not sure who needs to hear this but someone who recently ended a one-sided 'relationship', the fact that youre on this side of tiktok at all is a sign that your needs aren't being met and haven't been for a while. It's well past time to take control of the situation and move on. especially if the only thing you're losing is a shared history.

how about when you bring up the past that caused a lot of the resentment and they say you can't bring that up because it's too long ago?

I’ve been considering leaving my husband or maybe just separate, but I’m worried that my reasons aren’t good enough and I feel like I’m doing something wrong.

I’m emotionally exhausted as a burnt out purser. I have constantly been trying to get my husband on the same page for years. However he is also having mental health issues with severe depression and SI where he has been hospitalized for weeks. He says he hates himself and he would feel better about himself if I could work on building trust with him. I have for the past 8years essentially raised our 4 kids under 9 alone, managed all kids activities school and their own health issues two with disabilities on my own while he’s been disconnected. We are stuck. He’s tying his self worth in with my feelings for him/intimacy. I started trying to put myself first but I am burnt out and do not feel any motivation to make our relationship work. Any advice on how to navigate this?

Have really like your videos. I can’t tell if I’m the one who made him log off… like how much accountability can I take? Sometimes I feel like I was so anxious I actively pushed him away and it’s my fault.

🥹 thank you. Ending the cycle of self abandonment is exactly where I am at. I think I’m just learning to stand firm in my boundaries. At this point, I really don’t know what I need or want 🥴

How long do you wait for a partner who has no capacity to be a partner at the moment to get the capacity? My partner keeps saying she doesn’t have the capacity to be there for me or be a good partner. I am so tired of waiting she thinks I am selfish

So what does the avoidant attachment style person feel when the person sealer is burnt out? I had a relationship like this that I walked away from and I’m curious what the other person experienced on their end, because I don’t understand

How do you first make sure that you (the pursuer) aren’t just overthinking it or seeing problems where they don’t exist? Id there a way to change how you feel love to match what you’re getting instead of what you think you should have?

I’m the partner who didn’t meet my wife’s needs for years. She finally said she was done and I’ve been on a real journey since
Imperfect but genuine.
I know I can’t make her want to try again.
All I can do is keep changing stay present and meet her where she’s at.
Your content is so validating for her side of this dynamic… But I’d really love to hear more for people in my position the partners who want to break the old pattern without trying to push or force.
Is the academy right for me?
And would you ever do content about how we can keep showing up respectfully changing for ourselves not just to win them back?
Thanks for what you share it helps more than you know. (Now to do more deep dive on your content to see if missed this exact thing)

Going through this now. For 8yrs since the birth of baby #1 my husband has chosen to prioritise work over family. 2yrs ago I tried to end it but gave him another chance. The cycle started again and a couple of months ago I detached. He’s now starting to wake up to change but I feel like I’m passed the point of no return. I know he loves me, but I just can’t seem to reconnect. What do I do? Give another chance or choose myself?! It’s heartbreaking. We have 2 young kids.

I am a teacher, my husband is a nurse. We have been married 22 years. We have an 18 year old son with autiism/adhd/ODD and twin daughters that are 16 and neurotypical. My husband is 7 months out of rehab. Lots of things contributed to his PTSD and addiction. His job, hard parenting. I have supported him through the darkest times. I really want to save our marriage, but I feel like a burnt out pursuer. I’ve been using ChatGPT to help through my trauma. Your page resonates with me. Thank you
