@instituteofartandideas: What does it really mean to be "normal"? And who decides? Renowned psychiatrist and trauma specialist Bessel van der Kolk delves into how societal standards shape our understanding of mental health and illness. Joined by Rose Cartwright, Frank Tallis, and Dinesh Bhugra, he questions the validity of using a fixed notion of "normality" as a benchmark for psychological well-being. Together, they explore the diverse ways of being human and why embracing that diversity may be essential to truly understanding mental health.
