The seller sold the plot knowing the house was due for demolition. In the uk this would have shown up on the proper searches but the seller has an obligation to give up this essential info.

If there was a demolition order on the house that would have to be explicitly disclosed during the sales process, not hidden in fine print somewhere while they are openly discussing the sale of a usable home. The sellers clearly scammed her, and the entire contract is void for intentional deceit. She can get back the money she paid, along with damages.
