i do this scene a little differently lmfao. my mc always has nightmares but he never wakes up screaming or crying, he wakes up very normally, js with way less energy and sometimes with an urge to throw up. although, sometimes his nightmares are abt his VERY PLATONIC BEST FRIEND dying, and when he has those nightmares, he goes into his room just to check if he's still alive yk. and his Very Platonic Best Friend™ then lets him sleep in his room. so he doesn't have nightmares. no other reason.

One of the best parts to read and one of the best parts to write also. And it kills me when they are both shy but she wants him to stay and he also wants to stay and they sleep together but in totally opposite sides of the bed and they can't actually sleep because the thought of the other lying at inches from each other is too much to handle and it's so cute 🥹🥹🥹
