@fly.goldseal: “P-Factor” is the common term we use for asymmetric propeller loading.   In other words, at high angles of attack, the upward-moving left blade produces less thrust than the downward-moving blade on the right.   In level flight, both blades grab the same amount of air and produce the same amount of thrust. But as we pitch up and get into a high angle of attack situation, like takeoff or slow flight, the upward-moving blade grabs much less air than the right-hand, downward moving blade.   Visualizing the excess of thrust from the right, it’s easy to see why the plane yaws to the left. Next up is Gyroscopic Precession. 🛩️ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - #flygoldseal #studentpilot #flighttraining #groundschool #flightinstructor #privatepilot #learntofly #flightschool #cfi #pilottraining #generalaviation #propeller
