@harryschoen: For $9,500 all in, I bought one of the coolest shipping containers I could find! I was previously paying $250/mo for a 10x15 storage unit that kept all of the loose items I’ve collected over the past few years. Boy and business math says that the container will pay its self off in just over three years, which is feasible because I’d already been paying for storage the past 4 years and at the end I’d have a structure that I can modify any way I want to. In working with @sokenergy-Manufacturer I was able to outfit the unit with a battery, inverter and solar setup that will allow me to run lighting, power tools and anything else I need inside! The hope is that in the future I’ll be able to turn the container into something like a workshop, a gym, or a home and drop it on a piece of property.
