In my experience working in Opera, singers tend to be very good at accents. Mimicking the tonal qualities of accents comes quite easy to them. Also just a better grasp than the average person at tongue/mouth dexterity.

I swear being tone deaf is correlated to not being able to do accents. I am a singer and accents come easy to me. I can mimic someone speaking pretty well. My husband can’t match pitch and cannot mimic an accent lol why is this?!

Here’s a followup: since Swedish is the only tonal language in the Indo-European group of languages, does that explain why they tend to be good at accents and, maybe outside your field of expertise, why Sweden is by far the biggest exporter of music per capital in the would?

Maybe it’s because as a singer myself you’re physically ally to pronounce words differently to drop your rs,elongated your vowels,make your T sound sharper, and then occasional changes for mood and genre
