Let the weld cool naturally a little bit, the heat is your friend. You make the weld weaker by rapidly cooling it down with water.

I hate mf wheel locks. I lost the key when I moved and it ruined my life lol had to take it to a shop and tell them to break them all off and give me regular ones because no one carried my specific key.
