@heavy_haul_n_fool: #stitch with @hack nation #greenscreen these newer trucks run a lot hotter everything’s packaged so tightly they designed them to run hotter so that the emission system can operate at optimum temperatures problem is they don’t really count anymore for a heavy haul truck doing more than 80,000 pounds because engineers don’t know hardly anything other than how to draw on CAD so I will agree with you if somebody’s hauling 80,000 pounds or less or operating in a normal environment 80,000 pounds or less operating in extreme heat or over that weight limit or climbing extreme grades for lungs period of time. Yeah we’re gonna turn our engine fan on. Why do you think they put a switch? People forget there’s more aspects of trucking than just hauling groceries. #trucker
They have an engine fan switch for a reason…. I’m constantly working on trucks that gross 129k going up 8% for 5 miles… it’s a pull. The switch can absolutely help a driver keep the engine cool in preparation for the hill.

I run my fan. Even running it on manual I still have to back out of it in the heat or it will overheat.

if something goes wrong while pulling a hill its going to heat up immediately whether the fan is on or not. also this guy forgot more about engines than you will ever know.
