I thought Jack the Ripper had been identified as a Polish mad man Aaron Kosminski. The Duke of Clarence was having tea with his Grandma Queen Victoria when one of the murders was committed. I can't to see the BBC news but it's more Fake news! 🙄

This case has been more or less "solved" already. During the original investigation, police had a suspect named Aaron Kosminski. In 2019, scientists managed to extract and isolate a genetic profile from a shawl said to belong to one of the victims. Since Kosminski had long been considered the most likely suspect, a relative agreed to provide a DNA sample for comparison. It was a match. Now, if this were a case today, would that DNA evidence hold up in court? Probably not. A good defence could reasonably argue alternative explanations for how his DNA ended up on the shawl. But realistically, with the genetic match and the fact that an eyewitness placed him near the scene of a murder, it's more likely than not that Kosminski was Jack the Ripper.
