I just want to say thank you to all the volunteers out there. You are amazing at what you people do. I respect every single one of you. It’s not weak to speak; the jobs are hard and truly heartfelt, and most of the time that can affect you. You feel the feelings, but please, for your health, take care of it.

We had a job, massive wildfire… we lost several homes and I had a burn over… sometimes I still hear the gas bottles exploding behind me seeing the fire coming over the vehicle. Going house to house to stop jump overs. Lit by an arsonist. My 3rd wildfire.

Would be amazing if you supported surf life saving as well. Let alone the SAR jobs and rescues, and the 1000s of first aids we attend to. There are also 20+ resuscitation we attend a year in QLD alone.

Im volunteer marine rescue member, pretty much firetrucks and ambulance on the water, the stuff we see is not great, shout out to all volunteers, you all play a part and I’m super thankful for the hard work that’s put in

As someone who has been part of the fire service for 10 years and has family trauma with my son who has a disease that will take him early in life it’s ok to talk to someone, my line is always open . It’s ok not to be ok
