Tbh I feel like it's basically Crossfit 2.0, but more inclusive because the exercises don't necessarily require high skill levels or above average strength. I see the appeal especially with people in their 30s and 40s. It's manageable even for us old ppl.

It's crazy how hyrox replaces crossfit so quickly. Almost nobody I know now is going for crossfit now. They have converted to hyrox or muay Thai. Haiz.

hyrox is like doing housework. duno why ppl want to pay when they can do it for free at home, and end up with a clean home instead of a t-shirt

I saw the Elite 15s during Covid and wanted to join since but it was never in SG & went to HK first. Also, the event is not sold out in SG for women. What you don’t get is (perhaps cos you’re not into weightlifting/gym), it’s accessible VS crossfit and powerlifting where the movements are difficult.

Gym has many carry over moments to Hyrox and Hyrox placed emphasis on form and is aesthetically pleasing while CrossFit butchers every proper form in the gym and is a horrible spectacle.

To me hyrox is overrated but each to their own. They making a lot of profits and yet they still using volunteers for their ref and all these volunteers were treated quite badly without proper rest and foods. There already has a few volunteers also posting about the treatment. This makes me turn away from participating.

Hahah Adult Sports Day…that’s a good one! And they have deals with some gyms, best place to get ppl to sign up…a sense camaraderie.
