@soulbrothaa02: It’s important to remember that the rights and liberties that we enjoy today were secured by people who believed in a vision of freedom, even in the face of tyranny. Crispus Attucks challenges two false narratives common in our time: America is an irredeemable nation because of its flaws, and the other, America is a nation by and for White people. He stood against British oppression in pursuit of a free nation, even as his fellow Americans excluded him from citizenship, choosing racial hierarchy over civic equality. But it was that belief in American ideals that helped us defeat the British monarchy, the Confederacy, fascism, Jim Crow and communism. However, we live in uncertain times where Americans are losing faith in the same ideals that shaped our great country. This happens when we are not rooted in our shared civic culture, history and values, allowing false narratives(by enemies, domestic and foreign)to define us. God bless America! 🇺🇸 #july4th #unitedstates #crispusattucks #patriot #independenceday #america
