The council treated anakin like a tool, errand boy and a bomb that could potentially go off nobody truly cared about him they pushed him aside despite him being the chosen one the most important person in the galaxy not to mention anakin was already extremely skilled and talented even before he joined the council he was the best star pilot in the galaxy according to obi wan, he was a cunning warrior he built C3PO at the age of 9 he was so gifted but the council didn't care and obi wan should not have been given the responsibility of training anakin that was objectively the wrong call to make obi wan was waaaay too young to be a teacher and mentor he was barely a padawan when he started he also lacked the wisdom and guidance to teach anakin to control his emotions and get them in check because the advice he gave anakin about his emotions was basically just ignore your feelings bury them and pretend they don't exist that's like saying here have this stick of dynamite and ignore the lit spark, obi wan did try his best but his best just wasn't good enough ok but back to anakin something else that made it so much worse was obviously as we know the council didn't truly respect anakin despite his great talents and they also didn't trust him the chancellor/palpatine was the only one who trusted anakin acknowledged his talents and was like a father to him which obviously made it much easier for anakin to grow closer to him and lose faith in the council further leading to his fall to the darkside the council should have kept an eye on anakin and not have been so careless in their choices and they shouldn't have layed the responsibility in obi wan to train him obi wan was too young too inexperienced and was still trying to figure out his own place obi wan was more like an older brother to anakin not a mentor
