I picked up 9-week-old Cane Corso yesterday, full of excitement and hope… but nothing could have prepared me for what came next. He was clearly underweight, and within minutes of getting home, he started throwing up. Over and over, until there was nothing left but white foam. Then came the scariest part—he looked like he was having a seizure, or going into shock. His tiny body was trembling, and I felt completely helpless. At 2am, I rushed him to a 24-hour emergency vet, praying he'd make it through. They ran every test they could—his glucose and other levels were dangerously high. They managed to stabilize him, but even now they can’t say for sure what caused it. They suspect it may be something neurological. By 7am, he was showing signs of strength. They sent us home with antibiotics and medications—but the bills have already piled up. Today, he’s finally eating and running a little, but we’re not out of danger yet. We urgently need help covering the cost of his treatment and ongoing medications. This little soul didn’t ask for this, but he’s fighting so hard to live.
