How can america be great AGAIN when it was never great for people of color in the first place? MAGA has always been about a racist agenda from the start. The country was built by immigrants while the white man sips on wine.

The American political system, as allegorized through The Hunger Games, is structured around a false opposition that disguises elite consensus. The Democratic and Republican parties have historically alternated in their methods and rhetoric, but not in their structural commitments to capital, empire, and social control. Coin and Snow, as archetypes, reflect this continuity. Understanding their dynamic sociologically enables a deeper critique of liberal democracy—not as a failed project, but as a structurally constrained one. Katniss’s act does not promise salvation but forces recognition: no transformation is possible without negating the illusion of choice itself.

Lincoln (at first) wasn't fighting to end slavery, he was anti-slavery but not an abolitionist. Ending slavery only became an explicit goal of the Union army about halfway through the civil war

My ancestor was an African American slave who was given his freedom for fighting in the Revolutionary war. I think about it a lot. There had to be some understanding that he and his owner came to that the freedom they both were going to fight for was the same thing. It's a shame it wasn't universally embraced, but July 4th is sort of my personal Juneteenth, but both holidays make me a little sad that freedom has been a concept reserved for some rather than all.

Democracy in America means the same thing it did in Ancient Greece. Freedom for the slave owners.

Still went on to be the fasting growing and most technically advanced country that ever existed. You’re also insinuating no other country during its founding wasn’t built on some crazy stipulations. Look at any Asian country in human history

not that surprising when part of the reason for a revolution was because the King told them to stop expanding west but they wanted to genocide the Native Americans.

South couldn’t afford to remain profitable but we still do the same thing why do you think they are pushing the illegals migrants to become legal migrant workers and then ask who is getting paid at the federal minimum wage of 7 bucks an hour lol

You know, listen in the heart of hearts they did want to get rid of slavery, but that was for just just for future generations not for their time. Period to enact that thing that they put in the constitution so yeah, we have been lied to no doubt, but also things are very nuanced and I hate when people talk just black-and-white cause that’s not really the case but you’re onto something my dear you keep going you’re very bright all the best to you.
