very relatable. the worst part of withdrawal is knowing that you can fix yourself at any time you want. it's like having a cure to the flu, but the cure only makes you sicker in a few hours

I’ve gone through opiate withdrawals multiple times in my life after years of use and nobody exaggerates the “pain” of withdrawal worse than opiate users 😂😂 it is absolutely not like a hammer is being taken to any part of your body, it’s like a flu….as someone who’s withdrawn from both opiates multiple times and struggled with addiction, benzodiazepine withdrawal is FAR worse than any opiate withdrawal, I just think most opiate users exaggerate to justify relapse, it is 100% no worse than a shitty flu….the mental aspect is far far worse than any physical withdrawal 🙄🙄🙄

I was 18 and I was prescribed oxy after surgery in 2012. I didn’t remember a day and a half after surgery. It scared me and I never touched them again. This voice jumped in and I just knew I wouldn’t recover

I went through the slightest withdrawal after a week stay in the hospital where I was given them to manage pain. The week after I left was the most uncomfortable week, I couldn’t even imagine the withdrawal addicts experience. Forever have my empathy and care 💕
