I have two uncles (half brothers) with the same first & last name. It causes them endless nightmares for exactly what OP points out, they’re constantly mixed up for one another in databases & it almost cost one a job when the other had an arrest warrant for missing a subpoena.

This happened to me, but not a relative. A woman I worked with asked me what I was naming my baby, and she was an older woman, and I thought it would be harmless to tell her. She was in a different department and found out later her daughter-in-law used my name I chose and middle name for her baby, who was born a week before mine I was livid.

Mu stepmom name my little brother the sane name. I'm 14 years older than my little brother. Its caused all sorts of legal issues. Ill leave it there. I changed my name slightly because of it.

NTA, snooping to find out someone’s baby name and then using it is absolutely insane. Matching names would have to agreed by everyone involved. Both bro and sil are AHs and she would 100% have changed the name to match again

My mom had to name my sister and different name bc her sister took the name my mom picked. My mom and aunt were pregnant at the same time and my aunt had her baby 2 weeks before my sister was born. My mom found out after my cousin was born what my aunt did.
