@braingoburrrrr5: Oh summer, this is summer. I cannot afford fancy farm equipment, so I hoed in the rows by hand. I grew the starts on my dining room table and screwed grow lights into the chandelier. I made the compost. I planted each seedling by hand. I created adaptive planting tools to compensate for my EDS - seedling shoots out of old PVC leftovers cut with a hacksaw, extended weeding tools, and learned how to tape my elbows. I cannot afford fancy trellis or even cattle fence lengths, but I do have a chainsaw and chaps so I trimmed back my edges and made pyramids out of saplings. I unraveled an old jute rug for stringing. My farmstand is a folding table and a prayer to the only ancestor that might be helpful. Today, today I started making the farm PRETTY. Fairylights and toad houses, I found the stash of pretty landscaping pots and put the lemongrass in it. Added rescued petunias and solar lighting. I have no patio furniture - it will be a picnic blanket for now. But I am drinking a lemonade, in the middle of the peppers, under the easy up last used for a kids track and field day and I am feeling something so foreign it took me a lomg time to identify it.
