Red Bull team deserve so much credit… how they got the car handling like that after turning like a boat in practice is incredible. But all anyone says is “Max got pole with a terrible car”. Yes Max drove a great lap, but that is NOT the car he was driving Friday… the whole team did an amazing job to get that result

McLaren were setup with higher downforce to tackle the high speed corner. Max pull it off with already imbalance car with lower downforce is simply lovely

RedBull seemed to have taken a gamble on low drag for track position, will be interesting to see if 1 they can keep tyres in good condition and 2 how this affects them in wet. Also if it rains over night and the track is green this will hurt at start of the race but they will have very good 2nd stint and 3rd stint pace as more and more rubber goes down.

it's also important to note that Max is able to put the perfect lap when needed. If the other drivers did not make a mistake during the final lap it might have looked different.
