Stuffed Neapolitan Pizza “Parigina” | A Savoury Slice of Naples This isn’t your average pizza — “Parigina” is a beloved Neapolitan street food that combines soft pizza dough on the bottom, a rich tomato, ham, and cheese filling in the middle, and flaky puff pastry on top. Baked until golden, it’s cut into big squares or slices and served warm. Perfect for parties, family dinners, or just when you’re craving something truly comforting. Ingredients (about 8 slices): • Pizza dough (check my video for recipe) • 400g peeled tomatoes (drained, about 1 tin) • 200g ham • 200g cheese or provola • 1 puff pastry sheet (about 300g) • 1 egg yolk • 50ml cream • Olive oil, salt Instructions: Prepare pizza dough and spread it in an oiled baking tray (40x60 cm works well). Let it rest 10 minutes. Drain peeled tomatoes for 30 minutes, then spread them evenly over the dough. Add ham and cheese. Place puff pastry on top, trim to size, and seal edges. Prick surface with a fork, brush with egg yolk and cream mixture. Bake at 200°C for 30–35 minutes, until golden. Cool 10 minutes before slicing into large squares or wedges.
