I felt the same when I was 19, now 30 and I’m so thankful I didn’t do this, I had so many opportunities to travel and live in amazing places because I wasn’t in debt. It’s hard in the moment when you aren’t having the college experience you dreamed of but keep your focus on what you want long term and I promise what’s ahead will be better than you can imagine. 🫶

As an adult in her 30’s… you will be glad later in life that you have little to no debt, its truly a luxury nowadays. It will give you so much freedom later in life 🙏🏻❤️

Being debt free will give you the freedom to go chase your dreams and live in a cool new place once you graduate. It will work out, even if it’s not happening during this season of your life. Going out of state will be so much fun. You could always do it for grad school or your first job.

i sometimes feel like this, especially after turning down a scholarship at my dream school, but then i remember how truly blessed i am to be so financially free as a college student. i’ve never stressed about how much in loans i’m accumulating or how im going to pay it off later. college has caused so many ppl to get their financial freedom taken away so young. the world isn’t going anywhere if i keep overthinking the what ifs of the past i won’t see the beauty of the present.

i thought this too. i have done online college and im going into my senior year. go to activities outside of school. pilates, art classes, anything! it took me so long to get over feeling like i missed out, but there’s something else out there for you!!

there are always trade-offs unfortunately and it's natural to feel regret/disappointment...but you're 19 with many interesting experiences coming your way if you choose to move forward

Have almost 35k in debt and I’m not even done with my bachelors. But I will say it was worth it because I realized psychology was my passion. The grass may be greener over there but it’s probably just an illusion.

I'm so thankful I'm debt free, but I mourn what could have been every day. I feel like I wasted what could have been the four best years of my life in a college I hated and that didn't challenge me just because I had a full scholarship. I know I severely limited my opportunities and network. I had so much potential, just no money.

I realized the reason I wanted to go to that out of state school wasn’t just because it was a great school. It was mostly because I just wanted to live there. I went to college in state and dropped out cuz i didn’t know what I actually wanted to do in life.

My son stayed home the first year and has moved and now his sophomore year and is having the time of his life. I didn't want to pay it, but he is just so happy to have that experience before he becomes a real adult in the working force last time to have his last hurrah.
