When I was 5 I accidentally touched the sap and rubbed my face while playing. My eyes started burning and teared up profusely. Couldn't open them or see and I was in pain. The adults around at the time got a box of pastuerised cow's milk and washed my face and put drops of it in my eyes. The cow's milk instantly neutralised the poison. To this day I can taste the poison in my mouth as the cow's milk "pushed" it out of my eyes. I remember having to spit it out. So yeah, if you ever FAFO, COW's MILK WILL SAVE YOU.

The things in his eyes are not drains they are called Morgan lenses and are used to irrigate his eyes. They aren’t comfortable but are very helpful in getting the eyes cleaned out.

My granddaughter got ahold of a caterpillar pod, it was one of those spiky yellow or white caterpillars nests, extremely toxic! She blistered and was screaming in pain we had to take her to ER too

Oh jeez. I got industrial strength bleach in my eyes at work that is 3× stronger than anything you can buy at the store with a high amount of caustic soda and I didn't even have this in the ER. That is horrifying! Glad he's ok. Prayers for a speedy recovery!

I was told those plants are called a pencil cactus. I had one years ago and I know exactly about the milky stuff you were talking about. I had no idea that it was dangerous. Thank you.

That plant is an euphorbia, all of them have the white latex sap and you shouldn't get it on your skin, let alone your eyes! But many plants are euphorbias, that look entirely different, all have the sap.
