Girl yes! The black community only talks about businesses, there plenty of other ways such as real estate, investing, etc it can get deep!

I agree! My dad was an entrepreneur and people romanticize it so much. I’m an entrepreneur as well and while I love it, it’s not glamorous. There are so many ways to own and build wealth and we have to think out of the box.

A piece of a watermelon vs a whole grape. That’s so good and so true 🤣

PE farms are paying pennies on the dollar for acquisitions. They’re buying low to sell high. But I hear you, any matter equity is technically ownership. Positioning is everything though.

I understand what you’re saying completely. My dad owns his own business and people immediately think I should be taking it over when he retires. I’m not it’s too much work. I’ve rented an apartment for the last 20yrs people think it’s a waste when I can own my own home. I also understand that our people at one point were locked out of any opportunity of ownership because of the color of their skin. My dad is 70 and my mom is 65. My dad’s dad was born in 1911 his mom 1916. My dad is the baby of 5. I’ve heard a lot of our history from those who lived it. So while ownership isn’t my path I understand why they want it for us.
