Black Sesame Paste 🖤 Rich, nutty, nutritious and SO delicious when added to drinks or desserts! You only need 1 ingredient and a little bit of patience to make your own at home 👉 Make sure you SAVE this post and try it out!!  Ingredients: 2 cups (300g) black sesame seeds  * I prefer to keep it plain then add extra things like sweetener + salt later, depending on what I'm using it for.  Method: 1. Add the black sesame onto a dry pan and toast on low heat for 5 minutes until fragrant. Since the seeds are black, ensure you stir or toss often to prevent burning.  2. Transfer directly into a blender or food processor and process until it becomes a fine meal. Use a spoon to scrape down the sides as needed and then continue the process on low to medium speed until the seeds release their natural oils. It should eventually become a smooth and runny paste. This can take up to 20 minutes depending on your appliance. **NOTE: If using a blender, a tamper is a MUST otherwise it won't blend properly. Otherwise, a food processor would usually be the better option!  3. Transfer into a clean airtight jar. Enjoy! DRINK OPTIONS: 1️⃣ Hot black sesame latte: Add 2 tbsp black sesame paste into a mug then pour in a splash of hot/steamed milk. Whisk well to loosen and dissolve the paste then pour in the remaining milk. Sweeten to taste and enjoy.  2️⃣ Iced black sesame matcha latte (in video): Add 2 tbsp black sesame paste, 2 tbsp boiling water and 1 tbsp maple syrup to a jar and whisk well. Fill with ice, top with 150mL milk of choice and pour on prepared matcha (I sift about 2 tsp worth of matcha and whisk with a splash of 70-80°C hot water).  #vegan #plantbased #blacksesame #veganrecipes #EasyRecipe
