100%. I wrote my Master’s dissertation on this, using Operation Dudula as a case study for how refugee rights are affected by anti-foreigner sentiments. This is ultimately a governance issue and vigilantism isn’t the way to go about it. The anger is justified but definitely misplaced

what I noticed is that people who are unaffected by these issues always find a way to push their empty rhetoric, If they weren't overwhelming the public health system clinics where they are turned away are empty I'm certain she's seen videos online but she won't mention it coz it doesn't help her argument... and how does your asylum application not being attended to lead to foreigner erecting an illigal shack on our land? .
